Kids, save your allowances, and mom and dad, go ahead and take out that second mortgage on your house because the High Point shopping center in Prattville is up for auction this Thursday, reports WSFA News.
Yep. That’s right. After offering millions of dollars in incentives to bring in the complex, the whole place is going to be sold to the highest bidder on the steps of the Elmore County Courthouse.
For concerned shoppers who don’t plan on making an offer on the shopping center, business should continue as usual according to Prattville Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr.
That is, assuming you shopped there in the first place. The shopping center is anchored by Belk, J.C. Penny, Best Buy and Publix but has had difficulties finding leases for the smaller store fronts.
So go ahead and break open those piggy banks for your chance at some prime real estate. I’m sure Prattville would appreciate it.
